Beginning Lindy Hop Sundays, Jan. 15, 22, 29 and Feb. 5 11:00am-12:00pm
The Lindy Hop is the classic Savoy Ballroom swing dance of the 1930s and 40s. Its high-energy moves allow for individual expression as couples dance to the beat of big band music.
Our four-week progressive class covers basic Lindy moves (swing out, jockey, turns) in the first two weeks and moves on to more advanced moves in the second two weeks. As part of this class we will show you how to integrate your new 8-count Lindy Hop moves into your social 6-count swing dancing. No experience necessary, no partner necessary. No preregistration necessary. Just come to the first class on January 15 at 11 AM and start dancing!
BONUS! – The first class on January 15 will teach you the basic Lindy swing out so you can join the Beginning Swing Rueda class immediately following the Lindy class.)
Don’t forget to check out our 6-count swing class at 10 AM and our Swing Rueda classes at 12 PM on the same day!
