Lindy Hop: The California Routine

Learn one of Lindy Hop’s most iconic and useful partnered routines! Originally created by Frankie Manning, the California Routine is energetic, fun and accessible. (The lifts and air steps seen in some versions of the routine will be optional for all dancers) This four-week class not only teaches the choreography, but provides technical tips that will be helpful on the social dance floor.
This progressive series takes place Monday evenings at the Avalon Ballroom. (Registration closes after Week 2).
Dates: October 9, 16, 23, 30
Time: 6:45-7:45 p.m.
Prerequisites: Comfort dancing swingouts and six-count turns at a 160 bpm tempo. Tandem Charleston experience is helpful but not required.
