This is the front range milonga you’ve heard about!
For nearly two decades, Halina Palmer has cooked a beautiful meal, ready at 6:30 at The Avalon, so that tangeros may feast before a wonderful, 50-50 milonga featuring prominent front range DJ’s playing a mix of traditional Argentine music and alternative. This event is come-as-you-are or dressed to, well, “the 8’s,” and is part practice, part milonga, all fun.
You can help prep at 5:15, help set up at 5:45, help clear the kitchen at 8 or help break down the event at 10. This is a volunteer-inspired event–and we expect nothing from our of town guests.
$12 at the door for dinner and dance, volunteer on the spot for a reduced rate, or sign up to volunteer in advance to gain free admission.
