Joan Walton Mini Workshop November 1st – 6:30-7:30 $10 or $15 with Waltz Revolution admission We are super excited to have Joan Walton for a mini-workshop before Waltz Revolution on November first. Joan will be partnered by Tracey Powers for a one hour workshop on Waltz Swing. Waltz Swing is founded on borrowed steps from either Night Club Twp Step or Swing, done in Waltz time! Joan and Tracey will also lead our regular 7:30-8:00 lesson on November first with lots of waltz tips and tricks. |

Joan Walton’s high-energy teaching style and ability to communicate concepts to all levels of learners have become well known at universities and dance studios across the country. She has deep knowledge of Historical and Social Dance, Tap Dance, Musical Theatre Choreography, and Musical Theatre dance Styles. As Assistant Director and dancer with Richard Power’s Flying Cloud Vintage Dance Troupe for many years, she performed all over the country, as well as on the ABC-TV mini-series North and South. She also performed with Cincinnati’s “Shawn Womack’s Dance Projects” in The Waltz is Dying. |
Waltz Revolution, first and third Wednesdays, features mostly waltz to contemporary, engaging, and surprising musical selections by DJ Frank Vernon.
Musical numbers, selected and edited for danceability, include nightclub two-step, foxtrot, swing, and the occasional polka, schottische, cha-cha, chalypso, redowa, hambo, hustle, and more.
All are welcome; no partner or experience necessary.
