Colorado Friends of Old Time Music and Dance | Social Dance
Colorado Friends Of Old Time Music And Dance is a non-profit organization that runs nearly 100 community participatory dances per year – such as contra dances – with live music and calling in the Denver and Boulder metro area of Colorado. No prior dance experience is necessary, and almost all of our dances are preceded by a lesson. Community dances are very social by nature – married and unmarried couples, singles accompanied with friends or arriving alone, and anyone from age 9 to 109 who enjoys dancing are welcome. A contra dance for children of all ages. All dances will be taught and will have simple choreography suitable for young children and first-time dancers. $5 for adults; children free. Stay for refreshments after the dance.

Colorado Friends of Old Time Music and Dance (CFOOTMAD) present a Zesty Contra dance the 2nd Saturday of each month. 7:00 p.m.- 10:00p.m. $15 for non-members; $12 for members; always live music. The Zesty contra dance series is for dancers with some experience with contra dance. There is no lesson before the dance, and walk-throughs may be abbreviated, or for simpler dances, eliminated entirely.
