Come join our Scandinavian Basics dance class series.  This is the time to get started learning Scandinavian couple dance (primarily Swedish).  "Learn to Pivot and Perfect Your Hambo".  No partner is needed, but low-friction, hard-soled shoes are necessary so that you will be able to pivot (spin) on the beautiful Avalon floors.  Pivoting easily and frequently is a common feature of fast-turning Polska and Pols dancing.  These classes build skills from week to week so attending  regularly is necessary. Colorado Friends of Old Time Music and Dance (CFOOTMAD) present a Zesty Contra dance the 2nd Saturday of each month. 7:00 p.m.- 10:00p.m. $15 for non-members; $12 for members; always live music.  The Zesty contra dance series is for dancers with some experience with contra dance.  There is no lesson before the dance, and walk-throughs may be abbreviated, or for simpler dances, eliminated entirely.
