Whether you are a beginner to yoga or a lifelong practicer, this workshop is designed to teach you to adjust your movements safely and effectively for body type, injury/pain, and area of focus. We will start from the classic anatomical position, observe what tradition tells us our asana postures should be, and then explore what adjustments might make the position more comfortable for us and our unique bodies, in all that they are experiencing in that moment. We want you to empower you with knowledge such that when you leave this class, you can enter a group yoga class and be able to modify your position to amplify your personal practice, instead of relying on generalized instructor cues that may or may not benefit you specifically.
