SUMMARY:Scandinavian Christmas Dance
DESCRIPTION:This night is our annual Christmas Dance.  This is always a fun time.\n   *   Live music\, flat fiddle\, hardingfele\, and nyckelharpa\n   *   Please bring finger food to share\, non-alcoholic drinks are also good\n   *   There will be glögg (alcoholic)\n   *   Costumes are appreciated but now necessary\n   *   Only $7\n   *   8 pm\, Sodal Hall\, The Avalon\n\nSocial Scandinavian dancing\, mostly to live music. The evening is a blend of gammaldans (waltz\, hambo\, schottis….) and bygdedans (polskas and springars). Requests are honored if at all possible. Partners are not necessary\, but we strongly recommend wearing hard-soled shoes\, as it makes the dances both easier and more fun. There is no dance during the summer months\, June\, July\, and August.
