DESCRIPTION:This coming Sunday\, 15 May–NO LOCOTANGO IN JULY–otherwise\, always the “third Sunday”\nThe Avalon Ballroom\, 6185 Arapahoe Road\, Boulder CO\nDJ Michael D’Elia\nPotluck & Milonga\, 6:30pm\, $20pp\, $10 students\nLesson with John Miller\, 5:30pm\, $15pp \nDinner\nI’ve never made Moroccan Harira\, but a dancer we all love suggested I try. (Don’t worry\, I’ve not made most of the soups  you’ve eaten.) Moroccan Harira is the meal of choice to break fasts in Morocco\, whether Muslim or Jew. It has a velvety tomato base and often includes lamb or beef. I’m not yet just how I’ll put this together\, but I know there will be a vegan one\, and if there is one with meat\, it will not include pork. \nBeginners\nBeginners are welcome at LocoTango. Bring what you know. Be gentle.  All you can offer is a warm\, gentle\, loving embrace\, and simple steps? That is all one needs to want to dance with you. And\, oh: this applies to each and every one of us. Lest we forget. I know that I do. \nClass with Doctor John\nThat’s what I call him\, and if you take classes from him\, you know! This man has a craft and does it so well. If you’re missing the CU tango classes he teaches\, or just came hot off the class at the Boulder Elk’s Milonga on Sunday (that was one beautiful night)\, or  you’ve never experienced a linguist teach tango\, now is your time! \nMichael D’Elia\nNew to tango in the Front Range? Hardly! Just gone for a multiple year hiatus. But he’s glad to be back\, and so are we. I’m super-excited to listen and dance to what Michael dreams and schemes for us. Welcome\, Michael. \nIsadore Announces\nIsadore has spent her entire life at LocoTango\, unlike most of us\, where we just have a fleeting visit. So\, for this day\, which happens to be Father’s Day\, she will take center stage and make a few comments that you will enjoy. Perhaps she will talk a bit about how LocoTango has become a special connection for her with her father. We just don’t know; it’s totally up to her. \nNo LocoTango in July\nIt is sad\, but true. But the reason is about as exciting as those new-fangled ceiling lights\, which I just received a bit of instruction on how to use.\nWe will not have LocoTango in July because Chuck is having the ballroom dancefloor refinished!
