DESCRIPTION:Rhythm is at the heart of this Black American vernacular dance. Breaking away from your partner to express your individuality is a hallmark. This series focuses on two of the things that made Lindy Hop such a revolutionary phenomenon! Explore the integration of solo movement into partnered dance while developing rhythmic variations that respond to the music and reflect your personal style. This progressive series is four weeks long and takes place Monday evenings at the Avalon Ballroom. (Registration closes after Week 2). \nDates: April 29\, May 6\, 13\, 20\nTime: 6:45-7:45 p.m.\nPrerequisites: Students should have taken Intro to Lindy Hop twice and have a solid grasp on basic footwork patterns. \nStudents can use discount code STUDYHARD for 20% off. \nDancers who enroll in both the beginner and intermediate courses for the month will receive 25% off their total order. \n*We strive to make our classes as inclusive and accessible as possible.
