Beginning Blues Dance Lessons (2x)

Are you ready to get your groove on this summer?

Join us for beginning partner blues dance lessons (2) and get ready to impress everyone with your new dance moves!

Our 2-week series is perfect for those looking for an introduction to social dance, as well as those who want to gain confidence and competence in dancing to live music and Colorado music meetups. Our style of blues dance is easy to pick up, low impact, interpretive, and a whole lotta of fun!

During this series, we will cover blues dance movements, lead/follow connections, simple turns and hand transitions, adornments, embellishments, and interpretation. By the end of the series, you will have a unique and noticeable interpretive dance style, as well as the confidence and competence to tackle most social blues dance and club dance experiences, including live music meetup events and summer festivals in 2023.

The class fee is $15.00 per person, and no prior experience is required. You don’t even need to bring a partner! However, we always attempt to have an equal lead-to-follow balance in our lessons, so sign up quickly to secure your spot. If you are placed on the waitlist, don’t worry, we will add you in as soon as we can gain enough leads for class balance. If you have a partner, please “+1” on your RSVP to give yourself priority into the workshop.

Our beginner partner blues dance lessons will be held on Friday May 12th AND 26th. The lesson will begin at 6:30 pm, followed by a practice dance session to 8:30 pm. During the practice dance, you’ll have the opportunity to practice your newly learned dance moves with other students in a fun and low-pressure environment. It’s the perfect way to build confidence and solidify your skills before hitting the dance floor at a social event.

We rotate partners frequently during the lesson, so you have the option of dancing exclusively with your partner or joining the rotation. If you know someone willing to lead, please let them know about our lessons. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to learn how to dance this summer!

Our class size is intentionally limited to ensure a personalized learning environment, so sign up early to reserve your spot.
Let’s keep the dance floor a safe and comfortable space for everyone. Please refrain from wearing chemical fragrances or fixatives to class, as they can be disruptive to others. You’re welcome to wear socks, sneakers, hard-soled street shoes, or dance shoes, but please no bare feet. And don’t forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the lesson.
